Pharmaceutical drugs are regulated by no less then 7 different government agencies, so their disposal is not a matter to be taken lightly. Currently, most pharmaceuticals are categorized as non-hazardous, so the cost of managing them in a safe and environmentally friendly way is extremely reasonable. However, hazardous pharmaceuticals must be handled in the same manner as any hazardous chemical.

BioServ will help you determine what category the drugs you are working with fall into, prepare all the required regulatory paperwork to ensure proper disposal under the law, then transport them to an EPA-approved treatment facility.
